The Two Layers of Your New Pool Deck Surface
Our pool deck resurfacing utilizes a two-layer system designed for superior durability and a safe, cool, textured finish:
- Skim Coat/Microtopping Base: Up to 1/8 inch. This is a thin, cementitious layer troweled directly onto the existing concrete to fill hairline cracks and minor imperfections, creating a uniform substrate for the texture coat.
- Spray Down/Texture Coat: Approximately 1/8 inch. This layer is applied over the skim base using a hopper gun (for knockdown) or a trowel (for skip trowel). This is the decorative layer that provides the final anti-slip texture and color.
